• 🌟 Getting Ready for Your Remote Online Notarization Session 🌟

• First and foremost, please make sure you have about 30 minutes available to complete your session. ⏰

  • Our Notaries will always schedule a time that's best for you. Please just note that it is always best to schedule at least two days prior to closing just in case technological mishaps happen.​

​

• If there is more than one signer on your account and you are in the same room, it is usually best to try using the same device. 💻📱

  • If you are in different locations, two separate devices are perfectly fine. 

​

• 🪪 Your name on your documents must match your valid, non-expired ID.

  • Example: John Fredrick Doe may be acceptable as John F. Doe or John Doe. However, if your documents include a name or initial that does not appear on your ID, it could cause an issue at closing. Always go over this with your Notary during your confirmation.⚠️

• 📷 Please use a device with a clear, good-quality camera and two-way audio. I must be able to clearly read all text on your ID and view any holograms. Grainy or blurry cameras that cannot focus may result in the session being canceled.

• 🚨 Very Important:
  You should connect through your meeting link that will be sent by your Notary 5–10minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete electronic ID verification. This process can take about 5–7 minutes per signer and arriving early helps ensure we have enough time to finish your notarized documents within your 30-minute session.

• 📱 During check-in, you will be asked to upload your valid, non-expired ID using your smartphone — even if you are joining from a computer or tablet. The system will guide you through it. And your Notary will be available for questions if you are having trouble.

• ✅ You will also complete one of the following identity verification steps:

​

• 1. ID Quiz Verification (KBA)
  You may be asked a series of system-generated questions. You will have 2 attempts and 2 minutes each to answer correctly. If you do not pass, the system will block the connection and the session will be canceled.

• 2. Facial Recognition (BIO Metrics)
  The system may capture a live photo of your face, plus your left and right profile, and compare it to your ID photo to confirm your identity.

• 3. Physical ID Inspection

  • ​Once we connect, your Notary will also need to see your physical ID one more time for human verification. The first few minutes of our session are scripted and include a few verbal confirmations.
